What’s better during cold winter nights or mornings than a cup of hot chocolate?  Alternatives’ own Kathi Bratberg RN, B.S. Holistic Nutrition, has created this recipe for hot chocolate that is both delicious and healthy.  Check out the recipe . . .

Why not try this recipe from Kathi Bratberg RN, B.S. Holistic Nutrition at Alternatives, as a healthy alternative to one of winter’s most popular drinks.  If you’re looking for the ingredients, check out your local health foods market or the health section at Hy-Vee:

Non-sweetened almond milk – 8 oz. 
1 tsp. Green and Blacks organic cocoa powder
1-2 tsp. unrefined Coconut Oil
1 packet Stevia
2 tsp. whey protein powder

Warm the almond milk, cocoa powder and Coconut Oil.  Do not boil.  Remove from heat.  Stir in why protein powder and Stevia.  Enjoy!
